Report to the police — first of all
★ Say “missing” (실종), not “runaway” (가출인). Location tracking and CCTV checks start only once the person is registered as missing. “Adults have to wait 48 hours” is not true — you can report right away.

Centre for finding missing children and others (실종아동등 찾기센터), 24 hours
Older adults with dementia are also covered as “missing children and others” (실종아동등). Once registered, they are checked against fingerprint and face records nationwide.

Provides a wandering detector (배회감지기) and a missing-prevention ID tag (실종 예방 인식표) free of charge. Once you have found them, be sure to apply for these.

The police can send a missing-person alert text (실종경보 문자) to the area. Ask for it when you call 112.
