Three rules that stop most scams

Do not tap links in a text message
For deliveries, banks and government offices alike, you can check directly in their app or on their website.

Never give anyone a verification code, password or account number
No bank, police, prosecutor or child of yours asks for these by text. If someone asks, it is a scam.

If someone says they are family, call their usual number yourself
If you hear “my phone is broken, so I am contacting you from another number”, always call the original number. If they avoid the call, it is a scam.
